There are plans for a new ecotrail in Emyvale in north Monaghan.
The local Tidy Towns group hopes to capitalise on the area along by the Mountain Water river in the village.
It's planned the path will run along the riverbank towards the GAA grounds and it's hoped it will showcase the biodiversity in the area and turn the river into a focal point for the community.
The group has been awarded a grand of €14,000 from the Water Catchment Care Trust and has recently been granted planning permission by Monaghan County Council.
