A new community centre could be on the way for Newbliss. Killeevan Development Association have applied to Monaghan County Council for the change of use of an existing dwelling on Main Street to a community facility.
This new facility would include a community space, multifunctional exhibition, meeting rooms and a community garden. Also included in the development is the demolition of a rear extension, amendments to the facades, internal reconfiguration, new extension and amendments to the public footpath including the addition of a handrail. Monaghan County Planners will decide on the issue in October.
