Plans have been lodged for a major extension to a well known Co Cavan hotel.
22 new bedrooms alongside the proposed refurbishment of an adjoining former pub at the Bailie Hotel were lodged this week with Cavan County Council.
The Bailie Hotel, situated along Bailieboro’s Main Street, was bought by local businessman Austin Kelly last year. The plans lodged by the hotel new owners have outlined their hopes to carry out demolition works at the rear of the town’s former O’Brien’s public house as part of wider plans to add 22 additional bedrooms to the hotel’s accommodation offering. The plans also contain provision for the retention of seven bedrooms to complement nine new car parking spaces.
Provision of PV panels to existing and proposed roofs, all associated site development works, including above and below ground services. A final decision is expected in early February of next year.
