Plans for an outdoor theatre in Ballyjamesduff are being brought forward for public consultation.
At this month's meeting of the Municipal District, curator of the Cavan County Museum Savina Donohoe presented plans for the amphitheatre space which would allow for outdoor performances and events.
The development would be built at the front of the museum where there is a sloping bank and would accommodate 250 people.
It was confirmed by the executive that the proposal will now go for public consultation with the Part 8 planning notice expected to be returned for consideration later in the summer.
