Plans for a new industrial park in Monaghan Town was discussed at this month's meeting of Monaghan County Council. The 36 acre Annahagh site will house a projected eight industrial units along the N2. Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Sean Conlon described the news as an "exciting development" across a number of fronts regarding employment and industry. According to Cllr Conlon, the land which is locally known as the 'O'Neill's Farm' area has been awaiting development for some time.
The Sinn Fein representative believes Monaghan has became a "popular destination" for businesses, particularly since Brexit, with this latest development a positive step forward in bringing more jobs to the area.
