Cavan County Council has requested further information on plans for 86 new homes in Kingscourt.
The major development, planned by KFE Property Development Limited, would consist of a mix house houses and apartments.
This project is planned for the Kells Road in Kingscourt town and the application was originally lodged with the County Council in mid-September.
A total of 60 houses are planned in a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached houses. All would be two storey dwellings with the option for solar panels.
Included in the plans are 28 apartment or duplex units in seven three storey buildings.
Additional works, including an ESB substation and access roads, would also be carried out.
The plans are now on hold as Cavan County Council has requested further information from the developers.
