Planning sought for Inland Fisheries base in Cavan

Planning permission is being sought for the upgrade of an existing boat slipway at the Inland Fisheries Ireland base at Mullaghboy, Kilnaleck, Co Cavan.

The development will consist of an extension in length to the existing slipway to make it more usable in low water conditions. Inland Fisheries Ireland have also sought the addition of a bumper to the existing quay wall to reduce damage to tied up boats.

An Appropriate Assessment and a Natura Impact Statement have been prepared and submitted with the application Cavan County Council will make their decision at the end of the July.
