Planning permission for material change of use from the current Monaghan library to residential use is being sought.
The library is due to close its doors and relocate to a new facility opening at the peace campus located a short distance away.
The application submitted this week by RF Hillside Developments seeks permission for 4 no. 2 bed apartments and 2 no. 1 bed apartments along with alterations to the existing façade of the premises.

If given the green light the permission will allow for open space area, bicycle parking and waste storage facilities, together with all associated works.
