Planning permission is being sought for a large residential development consisting of 145 homes in Cavan. Plans have been submitted to Cavan County Council late last week for the purposed development in Drumlark in Cavan Town.
Drumlark investments Ltd have applied for 145 residential units in total along with the provision of a crèche. The plans submitted are for 91 houses, consisting of 25 x 2bed units, 55 x 3bed units and 11 x 4bedroom homes. The provision of a total of 54 duplex apartment units consisting of 15 x 1 bed units and 39 x 2bed units are also a part of this application.
If given the green light the duplex apartment blocks would range in height from two storey to three storey in height along with a 2 storey creche with associated parking, bicycle and bin storage. The provision of associated car parking at surface level via a combination of in-curtilage parking for dwellings and via on-street parking for the creche and duplex apartment units along with electric vehicle charging points with associated site infrastructure ducting to provide charge points for residents throughout the site are all a part of these major plans for this development. A Natura Impact Statement has been prepared and accompany this application. A decision is due in late April in relation to this large Cavan Town housing project.
