Planning permission has been sought for a tourism development in County Monaghan.
The proposed plans that have been submitted to Monaghan County Council will see a total of 12 houses, 10 glamping pods and a two storey café at the holiday development.
MBS Property Contracts Limited have applied to the local authority for the holiday resort at Corcullioncrew, Culloville, Co.Monaghan. Plans submitted to the council in recent days will include the demolition of an existing dwelling on the site and general site clearance works.
The provision of a tourist development comprising of the refurbishment and conversion of 2no. former Mill Buildings to 4 x 2bed units along with 2no. x1 bed units. If given the green light the plans will also allow for the construction of 3no x 2bed single storey lodges, the construction of 10no x glamping pods, the construction of 3no x 3bed fisherman lodges and the construction of a 2storey café and facility office for patrons.
The construction will also allow for a two-storey building to provide for games facilities for patrons. A Natura Impact Statement has been prepared and will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.
Local planners will decide on the application at the the end of May.
