Planning permission has been granted for the development of 58 dwellings in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
The majority of the two-story dwellings will be three-bedroom properties, with some two and four-bed homes also.
The homes will be built on a site at Nafarty/Cloghvalley Upper and the site has road front access to the R180 Ballybay Road.
The application by Glassford Developments was granted subject to 19 conditions, which includes revising down the number of dwellings, from 60 to 58.
The planning application says the works will "positively contribute to the expansion of the Carrickmacross Urban Area, as the site is in a strategic location on the northern approach to the town".
