Planning permission has been granted for a medical centre in Lisdaran, Cavan Town.
The medical unit will be built on a greenfield site behind the Golf Links Road, north of Cavan General Hospital.
The fully-serviced, three-storey building is designed as a "purpose-built Medical Centre".
It will include a pharmacy, staff areas and offices, therapy and treatment rooms, a reception area, waiting rooms, kitchen, and service rooms.
Meanwhile, the building will comprise of two L shaped interconnecting blocks.
The works were granted subject to 32 conditions.
