Eir has been refused permission for an 18 meter high telecommunications mast support structure to be erected in Ballyjamesduff.
The planning appeal was submitted to An Bord Pleanala in January regarding its plans to put the mast onto the Eir Exchange off Granard Street in the town.
Planners at Cavan County Council refused the plans as the site was zoned as existing residential in the Cavan Development Plan 2014-2020.
The purposed 18 meter high structure if granted would have been fitted with antennas and dishes along with all enclosed fencing around the mast area.
