Planning permission has been approved for 37 apartments along with 2 retail units in Monaghan Town.
McGuigan Builders Ltd secured the permission from county planners recently for the former cinema site at Glaslough St in the town.
The four-storey building over basement level car parking will include 2 retail / office units, 1 three bed, 27 two bed and 9 one bedroom apartments.
)All ancillary accommodation to include plant rooms, ESB substation, a switch room, 66 bike spaces and waste storage facilities are included in the approved application.
A landscaped communal open space connecting to pedestrian access at basement level with visitor bike parking and all associated works have also been given the green light as part of this planning permission submission.
Monaghan County Council gave the local builders the go ahead for this development with 18 conditions attached.
