Planning permission has been lodged for the development of a new health and wellbeing facility in Cavan. The new development would be located in Belturbet. The application lists the development as a "living sacred celtic medicinal spiritual wellbeing community therapy garden" with the site listed in Drummany Rahan, Milltown.
Plans include the construction of a part 2 storey storage shed and greenhouse, five outdoor viewing mounds, and a storytelling learning assembly cob building. Also included is on-site accommodation comprising of six detached , single storey, self-contained sleeping pods for short-term letting. This is in addition to planting, paths, and ground-mounted solar panels, and the removal of a single-storey shed. Cavan County Planners will decide on the issue in August.
