Planning permission has been lodged for a major housing development in Cavan.
Galetech Sustainable Living have applied to Cavan County Council to construct almost 50 new homes in Ballyconnell.
The plans submitted call for the construction of 46 new homes in the West Cavan town. This would comprise of 15 two storey houses, seven two-bed bungalows, and 24 own door apartments within four two-storey blocks. The 15 houses would be made up of seven detached four bed houses and eight three bed houses with a mix of detached and semi-detached. The apartments are a mix of three, two, and one bed apartments. Also included are access roads, parking, and bike parking. A decision on the development is due in March. Meanwhile Galetech are also in the midst of an appeal to An Bórd Pleanála regarding 29 houses in Ballyhaise.
