A planning application has been lodged that would see the erection of a wind
turbine up to 125 metres high in Cootehill.
The proposed development would have a 30-year operational life, from the
date of commissioning the wind turbine.
The works, at Tievenanass, Mountain Lodge, would include the turbine
foundation, a site access track and entrance, electrical switch-room and
underground electrical cabling.
A visual impact assessment report on the proposed works concluded that the turbine would not result in a significant detrimental impact on the amenity
of the local or wider landscape, with the "cumulative impact considered to be low".
