Planning permission has been granted for the development of a new public playpark in Mullan Village, Co Monaghan.
The application was submitted by Mullan Tidy Towns and Community Development and the play park will include a 30 metre zipwire, five rope bridges, swingset, and a wildwood play tower.
The greenfield site has pedestrian access to the local primary road and is located to the south-west of the village
The application form says the works will "improve the physical and social environment of Mullan Village".
The works were granted with three conditions, including the condition that no permanent external lighting is to be installed in the play park.
This condition is set out to "minimise light glare" and to "maintain dark skies as much as possible".
