Planning has been approved for a new public carpark in Ballybay.
The development will see 43 spaces constructed at the Courtyard.
A Part VIII planning application was put before Monaghan County Councillors to make a new public carpark from a derelict site in Ballybay town.
It will be located in the Ballybay Courtyard, off Main Street.
The carpark will consist of 43 parking spaces, which will include 3 disabled bays, two parent and child bays and four electric vehicle charging bays.
The Council intends for the carpark to support the economic and sustainability of Ballybay town and improve a vacant site to become a safe and attractive space.
Councillors gave unanimous support to the application and welcomed potential growth and development in Ballybay.
