Planning permission for the next stage of the Ulster Canal Greenway has been lodged.
The project will see Monaghan town and Middletown in Co Armagh linked if it's approved.
This is the latest stage of the major project running along the former Ulster Canal route.
Planning permission has now been lodged on both sides of the border for the section from the Coolshannagh roundabout in Monaghan to Middletown.
It will link with the existing Monaghan town greenway before then progressing on to Smithborough.
The plans consist of a 5 metre corridor, including a gravel and tarmac pathway and drainage.
Plans for four wooden bridges to span the canal and other waterways are also included.
Submissions on the southern section can be made until May 14th.
