A planning application has been lodged with Monaghan County Council that would see the development of 13 houses in Tydavnet.
The detached houses would be constructed on land directly opposite and to the east of Tydavnet Community centre.
The development will consist of seven four-bedroom dwellings and six three-bedroom dwellings.
Each home would also have a garden area and parking space and there is provision for a communal green space.
The application says the "design proposed will enhance the character of the village" and that the site is an "ideal location to create a village green space".
The closing date for submissions is the 8th of December.
