Permission is being sought for a project that would see the construction of 18 new homes in Carrickmacross.
The plans would see a change of use of an existing four storey office building at Derryolam Glebe House on the Shercock Road to allow for the construction of four apartments.
The application also seeks permission for eight two-storey semi-detached houses and six two-storey detached houses.
The plans also include the demolition of an existing derelict stone shed, the widening of an existing vehicle entrance, new service roads, and car parking.
The application was submitted to Monaghan County Council last week and a decision is due at the end of January.
