Mannock has received permission to continue its quarrying operations at a site in Swanlibar, Co Cavan, for a period of up to 20 years.
The local company has also committed to restoring the 45 hectare Swanlinbar Quarry to a waterbody with biodiverse habitats following the completion of limestone extraction.
The planning permission will allow Mannok to laterally extend its operations over an area of four hectares and to extend the quarry's floor depth by around 20 metres.
Mannock says the quarry "directly supports" 375 jobs.
Neighbouring Fermanagh and Omagh District Council expressed "concerns" about potential environmental, health and well-being impacts of the proposal.
The plans were approved by Cavan County Council, subject to 30 conditions.
