Planning permission has been granted for alterations to several "tired and dated" retail units in Monaghan Town.
The works will apply to the front facades of units one to six on the Mall Road in Monaghan Town.
It's part of a joint application by the existing owners who say the upgrades will "recognise the value of the streetscape".
They add that this "should bring a sense of optimism and prosperity to the area".
Alterations will include replacing the existing front windows and doors, erecting new signage and lighting to the front façade, and fixing new grey metal cladding to the front wall.
