Permission has been granted for the construction of 22 houses in Co Monaghan.
The homes will be used for social housing and developed on lands adjacent to Sean Mhuileann, Ballinode, Monaghan.
Monaghan County Council say there is a need for social housing in this area.

The development will comprise of detached and semi-detached units and consist of a mix of two, three, and four bedroom properties.
A landscaped open space, new access roads, drainage, and street lighting also form part of the plans.
The project has been granted subject to 20 conditions.
