Permission has been granted for a change of use to Kingscourt's Railway Station buildings.
It gives the green light for a change of use to educational purposes on a five year, temporary basis.
The planning application, submitted by Kingscourt Community Development Association, says "very little alterations" will be made to the existing elevations.
It adds that the works will "mainly change existing rooms and spaces to similar type educational facilities".
The buildings are within the curtilage of a protected structure and Iarnród Éireann has consented to the works, subject to a legal agreement that will see Cavan County Council take responsibility for the project.
