The latest report from Daft.ie shows Monaghan with an increase of 9.8% in house prices year on year, with an average cost of a home there put at €219,000.
Prices in Cavan rose by 15.3% with the average house cost there put at €201,000.
There were 10 new home transactions in Monaghan, down 32% on the previous year, and Cavan saw 25 new home transactions, up 43%.
The property website reports that asking prices nationwide rose by 3.8 percent between April and June this year.
However, data from the past 12 months shows house prices have increased by 9.5 percent across the country.
Economist at Trinity College Dublin and author of the Daft report, Ronan Lyons, says a mixture of increased supply and higher interest rates could cause house price inflation to ease.
