People in Monaghan are being asked to be extra vigilant of their contacts this Christmas.
The county has the sixth highest Covid-19 incidence rates in Ireland, at 136.8.
The estimated national 14-day incidence rate of the disease has risen to 84 per 100,000 - up from a low of 78.
Cavan saw an increase in cases yesterday, with it's incidence rate now over 100.
The average number of cases in the past five days has also risen above 300, compared to 288 a week ago.
Professor Emer Shelley, from the Royal College of Physicians, says those who live in counties with higher rates of infection need to be particularly careful over the coming weeks.
