People in the Northern Sound region are being urged to continue their good work in tackling covid-19 ahead of Christmas.
An inter-agency group made up of the HSE, local Gardaí, and Cavan and Monaghan County Councils has thanked the public for their hard work in reducing the number of cases, but warns that "we cannot afford to let out guard down".
Dr Augustine Pereira, HSE Director of Public Health in the North East, says there is a severe risk of cases going up over the coming weeks as people socialise more.
