A pedestrian received minor injuries after being struck by a car yesterday evening in Cavan.
The incident took place on the Cavan road out of Killeshandra at around 6pm, when a man was crossing the road to get to his car.
He was taken to hospital and Gardaí described the collision as an "accident".

They added that the man wasn't wearing appropriate hi-visibility clothing at the time.
