Pay parking is to resume in Cavan town next month.
The local authority suspended charges at the end of March "for the convenience and safety of the community" during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Councillors heard at a recent meeting that an estimated 400,000 in income was lost because of the move.
Those earnings can't be recouped but there are hopes that a healthy economy will bring people back shopping local.
The council executive confirmed that from August 4th, charges will be brought back for the town.
