Monaghan County Council has successfully secured an additional €460,000 funding for works to maintain the National Road network. The funding was secured by Monaghan County Council after a successful application process.
These funds will be utilised to implement verge/medium maintenance, footpath repairs, drainage upgrades and targeted sections of road pavement rehabilitation.
Road pavement works will be carried out on the N12 - Killeef, N2 - Tirnaneill, N2 - Tullyvin roundabout junction, N54 - Smithborough village centre and N53 - Brennans Cross junction.
The contract was put out to tender, tender submissions were assed, and a contractor has been appointed to implement works. Works are scheduled to commence in August.
