The former Cavan Monaghan TD is the first candidate to be deemed elected in the Seanad Éireann General Election 2025, having reached the quota on the 6th Count.
Senator Tully missed out in the General Election at regaining her seat that she had held since 2020 and she previously has been a Cavan Councillor.
Speaking to Northern Sound yesterday, Sinn Fein Leader Mary Lou McDonald said she was very hopeful of Pauline Tully’s chance at taking a seat in the Seanad.
Deputy McDonald that she wanted to see the former TD back representing the people of Cavan.
