The popular Patrick Kavanagh festival will return to Monaghan this weekend.
This is the first time the event will be held over a three day period since 2019.
Events and activities are scheduled to take place in the Patrick Kavanagh Centre and Round Tower Church, with this year's keynote address delivered by poet Thomas McCarthy.
Darren McCreesh is the Manager of the Patrick Kavanagh Centre.
Speaking to Northern Sound, he said that he is "delighted" to restore the festival to a three day event after a challenging few years.
He added that this weekend's line-up will also include guided bus tours and an exhibition of new work from Theresa Kelly, with further information and tickets available via the Patrick Kavanagh website.
