Following 60 hours of counting and 14 counts, the party make up of the Cavan-Monaghan constituency remains the same.

It was 12 hours later before Sinn Féin's Matt Carthy was elected, followed by is running mate Cathy Bennett, maintaining two Sinn Féin seats.
Pauline Tully failed to retain the seat she held since 2020.
The final count saw Fianna Fáil's Brendan Smith and Niamh Smyth take the remaining seats, beating Aontú's Sarah O'Reilly.
It means the party splits in the region remain the same as before, 1 Fine Gael, 2 Sinn Féin, and 2 Fianna Fáil
