Cavan County Council has issued a Part 8 planning notice for the construction of 45 dwellings in Bailieborough.
The works would take place at a site in Beckscourt, Bailieborough.
The proposed development will require the demolition of a derelict building, the installation of a wastewater treatment plant, and associated site works at Páirc na Teile, Beckscourt, Bailieborough.
The dwellings will range from one-bed apartments to a five-bed house, with nearly half of the properties being two-bed, semi-detached houses.
Permission is also sought for a public play area, car parking spaces, and a service road.
Plans of the proposed development are available on the Council website, or can be viewed in person during normal working hours at the Johnston Library and the Municipal District Office in Cootehill, until the 15th of September.
Meanwhile, submissions or observations may be made in writing and must reach the Housing Construction Section before 4pm on the 30th of September.
