Over half of people eligible for a first booster vaccine in Cavan and Monaghan have taken one.
Figures from the CSO up until the end of June shows that uptake varies from 35 per cent in Donegal, to 74 per cent in south Dublin.
First booster doses are currently available to people aged 12 and over.
Latest statistics from the CSO shows a large variation in uptake for an additional dose.
Across Cavan and Monaghan, there has been an uptake of between 51 and 57 per cent.
Of the 166 Local Electoral Areas, Monaghan and Carrickmacross-Castleblayney rank 18th and 19th for lowest first doses at 51 per cent.
The Cavan-Belturbet area has a rate of 53 per cent.
Ballybay-Clones is next locally at 55 per cent, with Bailieborough-Cootehill one percentage point higher.
Ballyjamesduff LEA is a percentage point further ahead and the highest across the two counties at 57 per cent.
Buncrana has the lowest uptake, with Rathfarnham-Templeogue has the highest.
