A GoFundMe page which was set-up following the death of Ballyconnell mother Annie Heyneman has now amassed over €50k. The mother of five was killed in her Kilnavart home over one week ago. The GoFundMe page previously amassed almost €40k in just a short space of 24 hours to assist with the family with funeral costs and to support Henk Heyneman on his recovery.
With an original target of €20k, the GoFundMe initiative currently stands at €51,600 as donations continue to pour in for the Heyneman family.
The organiser of the fundraising initiative said in a message on the page that the family are eternally grateful for the love and support at this time, adding that they had clearly underestimated us as a community and have raised the target to reflect this. The GoFundMe page says that Annie was a kind, caring and beautiful soul who dedicated her life to her family and community in which her passing has left a gaping hole.
