Over €108 million in CAP payments were made to farmers or groups in Cavan and Monaghan last year.
€60.9 million of that was made of direct payments to 8,400 local farmers, with Monaghan having one of the lowest average payments in the country.

€58.7 million was paid to Cavan farms, with the LCDC again getting the most at 1.8 million.
€34.1 million was made in direct payments in Cavan to 4,577 farms. B&L Farms (Unlimited) received €159,232, the largest direct payment in the region.
Monaghan received €49 million, Commercial Mushroom PRS Co-op received almost €4.6 million, the third highest benefactor in the country last year.
3,836 farmers in Monaghan shared €26.7 million in direct payments.
More than 122,000 farmers across the country received almost €1.2 billion under the CAP, with one Cork farmer receiving the highest single direct payment at €245,627
