Over 1.2million in funding has been allocated to Arts venues in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region.
It is hoped the money which was secured by the Government in Budget 2021 will help sustain local artists and organisations severely impacted by the pandemic.
The funding today falls under the Key Strategic Funding and was announced by the Arts Council.
It will not only go to arts organisations and individual artists, but small festivals, creative schools and to a variety of applicants across the region.
€480,500 has been allocated to theatres in Cavan and Monaghan .
€341,000 of that to the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Newbliss, €71,000 will be given to the Garage Theatre in Monaghan and €68,500 will go to the Ramor Theatre in Virginia.
Leitrim will receive €591,200 .
This includes €255,200 for the Sculpture Centre Visual Arts with, €230,000 for LeitrimTeac Damsa and €106,000 for The Dock Venues.
The Roscommon Arts Centre is set to receive capital funding of €141,00 as part of the programme.
