The figure was 10,000 yesterday morning.

As of 10.15am (Friday), just over 7,000 customers remain without power across both counties of Cavan and Monaghan. The figure was 10,000 at this time yesterday.

ESB Networks has made progress in repairing the damage done from Storm Eowyn. Nationally, 76,000 homes, farms and businesses were still without power last night but electricity has been restored to 692,000 customers. The National Emergency Co-ordination Group says generators are being provided by Poland and Denmark to get water, phone and broadband back. Regional Manager with ESB Networks Siobhan Wynn says even after power is restored to everyone it will still have work to do.
