Over 5,500 speeding fines have been handed out across the region so far this year.
The figures, provided by Minister for Justice Helen McEntee shows 5,505 fixed penalty notices for speeding have been issued across the Cavan/Monaghan/Louth Division this year.
The month with the most amount of speeding fines handed out was February, where 705 notices were issued.
It also shows that the majority of fines related to speeding through zones marked 50kph or 30kph.
It comes as the rollout begins of new average speed cameras on the N5 and N3 which Gardaí say will help to reduce collisions and deaths in high collision zones.
