413 students are now enrolled in schools across Cavan and Monaghan. The number represents a small increase on last month's figure of 403. The new figures released by the Department of Education show another increase in the number of Ukrainian children enrolled in schools across the region.
Cavan remains the area with the most amount of students enrolled compared to Monaghan, with 223 in primary school and 93 in post primary. While 97 Ukrainians are attending schools in Monaghan, with 66 in primary schools and 31 in secondary.
Nationally, almost 15-thousand Ukrainian children are attending primary and secondary school. While according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office, almost 75,000 Ukrainians have arrived in Ireland since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
