Just over 200 people attended the pop-up Covid test centre in Monaghan at the weekend.
It was set up after a concerning rise in the number of cases recorded in the county in recent weeks.
County Monaghan now has the highest 7-day incidence rate in the country according to the latest data from the HPSC.
The pop-up centre was open on Saturday and Sunday at St Joseph's Pastoral Centre in Monaghan town.
The HSE had said it had hoped the centre would allow for easier tracking of the spread of Covid in the community.
Figures released to Northern Sound News show 218 people attended the clinic, 121 on Saturday and 97 on Sunday.
