Outgoing Independent Monaghan County Councillor Paudge Connolly has issued a statement to say he will look for ways to continue helping people in the community. Cllr Connolly also offered his congratulations to the successful candidates while also reflecting on his own unsuccessful bid.
To those elected and re-elected to Monaghan County Council, Paudge Connolly said their "victory is a testament to the hard work and dedication" the successful candidates showed their communities.
On his electoral journey, Cllr Connolly thanked the electorate for returning him to the chamber three times. His statement ended by saying his commitment to his community "will never waiver" and added that he "looked forward to finding new ways to advocate for the issues that matter most to the residents of Monaghan."
