The organiser of a charity outdoor country dance in Kingscourt says they are taking the necessary precautions this weekend.
Concerns have been raised about the ability to stick to social distancing and Covid-19 guidelines at the event, however, organiser Ellen Tinnelly says a number of measures will be in place.
All attendees on Sunday must wear face masks, there will be temperature checks, contact tracing forms, stewards on the floor, and a limited number of people dancing at one time.
People are also being asked to dance with members of their household, or wear gloves otherwise and also sanitize their hands.
There is also an option to stay in your parked car and listen to the music or sit outside in seats provided, which will be organised to allow for social distancing.
The dance is in aid of Milly Byrne, a child who recently had a heart transplant, and Kingscourt Cancer.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound Ellen said that she is following HSE advice and should the Government make any recommendations concerning events of this nature in the coming days she will act accordingly.
She acknowledged that there was a pandemic and that should the number of cases rise and the government or NPHET state events should not go ahead, she will cancel the dance.
