Status Red wind warnings have been issued to five counties, with Met Éireann warning that Storm Debi brings a "potential danger to life".
Clare, east Galway and south Roscommon will be under the highest level warning from 3 to 5am, while Offaly and Westmeath will be under the red warning from 5 to 7am.
19 counties will be under a status Orange wind warning from 2 to 10am tomorrow, while a status Yellow wind and rain warning is in place across the country up to 3pm tomorrow.
The forecaster is working with the National Emergency Co-ordination Group on how to respond best to the powerful storm. Met Éireann's Liz Walsh says Debi will sweep across the country.
