The Bikers Memorial Committee together with Monaghan County Council have issued an open call to artists as they plan a permanent piece of sculpture for Clones.
The successful artwork should encapsulate the natural landscape of Clones and its environs. It also needs to reflect the history of the Bikers Memorial in Clones and be a worthy addition to the many heritage sites in the town.
The budget for the art installation is €90,000 and when completed will be seen at the Ulster Canal and Marina. For a briefing document and application visit www.monaghancoco.ie with a deadline for applications of Friday, March 28th.
