An online advanced booking system for Covid-19 tests in Cavan and Monaghan has been launched.
The move is an effort to help make testing more available and accessible, by allowing people who don’t have symptoms to book for a time that suits them.
Anyone can now book a test up to 24 hours in advance for centres in Castlesaunderson in Cavan and Cloghan in Monaghan.

Director of Public Health North East, Dr Augustine Pereira says testing is crucial to prevent and control outbreaks in the communities, and this is a measure to minimise delays for “walk-in” testing.
Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid-19 is still being advised to contact their GP.
