One of the five leaders of the popular television show Operation Transformation is a Monaghan native.
Maire Clear was born in Rockcorry and went to school in Monaghan.
The 32 year-old lives with her mum Angela in Cashel, County Tipperary and works part time as an SNA with children living with disability.
This year's operation transformation returned to our TV screens last week for its 16th season.
Maire is planning on visting County Monaghan in the coming weeks along with the camera crew of the well known TV show.
The Monaghan woman was born with Achondroplasia a genetic condition that slows down the growth of bone in the cartilage of the growth plate and says that her independence is extremely important to her.
Maire still as a lot of family members living in County Monaghan and says the whole experience of operation transformation has been life changing.
She says she is delighted to have so much support in Monaghan and across the country.
